The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Medan Area (UMA) held a faculty promotional event, this year in collaboration with a lecturer knowledge sharing session, with the theme “Clean Energy Innovation: Exploring Fuel Cell Technology.” The event was held at the Nurul Amaliyah Tanjung Morawa Vocational High School Hall and was attended by vocational school students, teachers, and lecturers.

In the main session, Dr. Iswandi, ST, MT., a lecturer in Mechanical Engineering and a renewable energy researcher, presented a presentation entitled “Fuel Cells as a Clean Energy Solution in the Modern Era.” He outlined the working principles of fuel cells, their potential use in the transportation and industrial sectors, and the challenges faced in implementing this technology in Indonesia.
“Fuel cell technology not only offers high efficiency but also zero emissions. This is part of the clean energy future that we must all work together to achieve,” said Dr. Iswandi.

He also added that this activity is one of the Faculty of Engineering’s steps in encouraging collaboration between the world of education and society, and plays an important role in providing sustainable solutions.

This promotional and knowledge sharing activity is expected to inspire students to continue their studies in engineering, as well as strengthen the position of the Faculty of Engineering, Medan Area University as a center for sustainable technology development.
