Congratulations & Success to the Student of the Faculty of Psychology, University of Medan Area,  MUHAMMAD FIKRI MAHDI ANWAR  (218600342) AS THE ONLY REPRESENTATIVE OF NORTH SUMATRA IN THE SERIES OF YOUTH ACTION FORUM 4.0 ACTIVITIES HELD BY UNITED IN DIVERSITY AND SDSN SOUTHEAST ASIA AT UID BALI CAMPUS, OCTOBER 17, 2024 – JANUARY 25, 2025.

YAF 4.0 (Youth Action Forum 4.0) is a program that aims to empower Generation Z with the theme “Empowering Gen Z, Envisioning Tomorrow.” The main activities in this program include various workshops consisting of a Foundation Workshop in Bali, an online-based Action Lab to explore social change prototypes, and a Graduation Workshop as a final evaluation. Participants also have the opportunity to participate in independent learning sessions, self-reflection, and receive feedback on the development of prototype ideas they develop in the fields of issues such as the circular economy, climate change, and inclusive education.

Presenters at YAF 4.0 included Mr. Tantowi Yahya, who provided an introduction to the program’s activities at the Foundation Workshop. Additionally, various panel sessions featured inspiring figures who provided insights into the application of Theory U to social change. These guests enriched the participants’ experiences through discussions and presentations on the challenges and lessons learned in realizing initiatives toward a desired future.

YAF 4.0 participants receive various benefits, including a leadership development scholarship worth IDR 15,000,000, which covers tuition fees, accommodation, ground transportation, and meals during offline activities. The program provides opportunities for self-development through various workshops focused on transformative leadership, mutual cooperation, and systemic thinking. Furthermore, participants are trained in the application of Theory U concepts, enabling them to design and implement social change prototypes that have a real impact. This activity also expands the collaborative network among participants from various backgrounds, creating a space for exchanging ideas and perspectives, and providing opportunities to create a broader social impact. The program provides not only theoretical knowledge but also practical skills that are very useful in facing future global challenges.
